The holidays are right around the corner. Know what that means? Christmas shopping is here! It can be tough to budget your money during this time of year, so it’s important to remember some tips that will help you out!

Make a List, Check it Twice

Start by making a list of everything you have-to buy. This way you will be able to organize all your expenses and figure out what you have-to spend on each item.

Set Your Limits

Go over the amount you have-to spend and decide what your cut off point is. Doing this will ensure you don’t spend more then you were planning to. It’s easy to talk yourself into spending just a little more, but don’t give in! Having a limit in your head will make you more likely to stick with it.

Organize Your Holiday Budget

Divide the things you will be spending your money on into categories. This could be gifts, events, travel, etc. Assign money to each of these categories so you know how much you’re going to spend on each item ahead of time.

Keep Track of Your Purchases

Remember that list we told you to make and check it TWICE? Yes. Bring that with you everywhere! This will allow you make sure you’re sticking to your holiday budget and to subtract the amount your spending each time you go shopping! This will keep things a lot more organized for you as well.
