SecurLOCK Equip is a mobile app that allows you to control how, when and where your Eastex CU credit card is used. It's a simple and secure way to manage and monitor card transaction activity. SecurLOCK Equip can help you keep your card safe and provide instant notifications whenever your card is used.
It's simple.
- Search for SecurLOCK (all one word)
- Once the app is loaded, tap on the lock icon to register your card by selecting Sign Up Free. You'll be prompted to enter your card number and other verification criteria such as address and CVV
- After your card is enrolled, you'll be given the option to turn the card on or off, set up card controls or turn on transaction alerts
SecurLOCK Equip is strictly for Eastex CU debit cards (for credit card controls refer to CardValet.
To use the app, you'll need an Apple or Android smartphone. After downloading the app you'll be instructed to enter your full card number and the following authentication information:
- Address
- CVV
Once registered you can begin using the app immediately.
No. It's free and gives you more control over your card.
Unlimited, as long as the cards have been issued by Eastex CU.

Your email address is needed in case you forget your password and need to reset it.
You can begin using the app immediately. You can turn your cards off by switching the green button on the top right to red. This means all transactions (except for recurring) will be declined. When ready to make a purchase simply turn the card back on. It's that easy.
You also have the option to selectively set controls by channel (in-store, online, mobile, ATM,etc.). You can also set transaction spend limits, select geographic locations where the card can be used, set specific merchant categories, view recent transactions, receive real-time alerts and much more.
It's an immediate notification sent to the app. You can elect to be alerted on all transactions including recurring payments or designate to be notified just on preferred transactions. Preferred alerts are available by spend limits, location, transaction type and merchant category.
No. Using the card controls doesn't change the status of the account.
It happens immediately after the option is set and saved.
Yes. Merchant recurring transactions will be approved.
My Location and My Region work independently or together; however, neither can be used in conjunction with International.
In the app, go to Transactions, find the one that was denied and open it. Tap the image so it rotates and the controls that were evoked during the authorization will be listed near the bottom. The transaction could also be declined because of external factors like non-sufficient funds or fraud monitoring.
Alert preferences let you know every time a transaction is attempted. Alerts may be generated for all or only preferred transactions. Preferred alerts can be set by location, transaction type, merchant type and threshold amount.
Only the primary device will receive alerts. Use the settings menu in the app to ensure you have set the device as primary.
No. You'll have to add the new card to the app. To disable the old card:
- Select Manage Portfolio
- Tap on Add Card
- Uncheck the old card that no longer needs to be displayed
There's a Help function within the app as well as a Contact Us category where you can send us an email or give us a call.
The Help feature also provides detailed information on how to turn your cards on/off, as well as both the controls and alert features within the app.
The last 50 transactions will display in the app for thirty calendar days.
Some merchants send preauthorization’s at higher amounts to see if the card is valid. For example, a $25 gas purchase might display as $126. Preauthorization’s are common at the pump, for a hotel stay or for a car rental. Even though the charge is listed in the app for more, it will clear for the correct amount.
To select the card(s) to display, go to Settings and choose Manage Portfolio. Then uncheck the card or cards you don't want to display. Once a card is unmanaged, controls and alerts can't be set for that card.
Press the icon that has three stacked lines to reach the menu. This icon is usually found in the top right corner.
Detailed information can be found throughout the app. Help can be found at the bottom of the login page and listed in the menu. On specific pages such as the My Location page tapping the "i" next to My Regions will open a window with detailed information on how the control works.
A password is required to access the app. Also, there is no personal information stored on the smartphone. The app only displays the last four digits of your card number.
